Project 29: Intrinsic functions Liverpool 1979: =============== Intrinsic paper (now "Functions for manipulating floating-point numbers"). Reid reported that he has rewritten this to include his own examples and represent his own views. The title has been changed to represent a wider context than Fortran. Copies have been sent to WG 2.5 members for comment before May 1st. New version found broadly acceptable, with two suggested changes from Dekker. Suggested that the paper be sent to X3J3, FOR-WORD, SIGNUM, IEEE Microprocessor Standards Project, Algol Bulletin (with revisions), Sigplan Notices. Novosibirsk 1979: ================= Reid reported that the intrinsics paper is in final form (IFIP/WG 2.5 (Baden-11) 511) and has been accepted for publication in the Algol Bulletin. It incorporates minor changes suggested by Dekker, Brown and Reinsch. It has also been sent to Meissner (for X3J3 and FOR-WORD), Ginsberg (for SIGNUM Newsletter), Schneider (SIGPLAN notices) and Ravenel (IEEE Microprocessor standard). Document: ========= 1. J.K.
